Blepharoplasty

Upper Blepharoplasty is one of the most commonly performed functional and cosmetic facial plastic surgical procedures.

The Upper Blepharoplasty procedure (Upper Eyelid Surgery) involves removing excess skin, removing or tightening some of the surrounding muscles, and either removing or repositioning some of the fat in the area to create beautiful and youthful eyelids. This procedure can give your eyes a more refreshed, youthful  and lifted appearance.

Recovery

For 24-48 hours after the surgery, ice packs should be used. Avoid any strenuous activities, such as heavy lifting or exercising for at least 7 days after surgery. Swelling should decrease in 1-2 weeks if you have had an upper eyelid blepharoplasty, whereas an upper and lower eyelid blepharoplasty takes 2-4 weeks. In a few patients, this swelling and bruising can last for a longer period of time.
